PSE Personalised Special English
Course Description
This is a one-to-one course offering participants practice in the English language for use in a specific field selected by the participant. The Academy should receive full details of the subject level and duration of the course at least 3 weeks in advance so that a programme can be formulated and a specialised teacher can be appointed.
Although the Academy keeps comprehensive and up-to-date resource material participants are encouraged to provide their own texts to make the course more relevant to their own needs. Activities in connection with participant's specific interest can be organised by the Academy.
We are offering English in the following areas:
- Banking and Accounting - - English in the Office Telephone English - - English for Secretaries - - English in Science, Medicine,Surgery, Law, Nursing - - English Literature - - English for Air Ground Hostesses and Stewards - - Frontline Management English - - English for Travel Agencies and Hotel Staff - - English in Civil/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering - - Environmental Science English -
Period of Operation: All the year round
Duration of Course: Open. Courses normally start on a Monday. Other arrangements can be made on request.
Sessions per Week: 15, 20 or 30
Duration of Session: 45 minutes
Levels: All levels. However, a fair knowledge of English is an asset.

General: Additional sessions can be arranged. Classes need not be held on the school premises and the time-schedule is flexible to suit the students’ convenience.
Rates: 15 sessions: €300 per week; 20 sessions: €380 per week; 30 sessions: €540 per week,

Mini Group Course
ESP - English for Special Purposes
Course Description
As English has establised itself as the language of Science and Technology, it is felt that students in this field of study would benefit greatly from E.S.P. courses. Areas of interest which are offered include Medicine, Engineering, Management, Aviation (list on page 10 applicable).
E.L.A. employs guest-teachers familiar with these areas of study.
A wide range of specialised literature and related audio material is available at the Academy. However, participants are encouraged to bring their own material with them.
Period of Operation: All the year round
Maximum Students: 4 per class (organised by prior arrangement)

Sessions per Week: 20/30 sessions.

Because of the very nature of E.S.P. courses, all booking arrangements must be finalised at least 3 weeks in advance. There is no set time-schedule and arrangement can be made for classes to be held outside school premises.
Rates: if 2 in class: 20 sessions 200 Euro per person per week, 30 sessions 280 Euro per person per week
if 4 in class: 20 sessions 150 Euro per person per week, 30 sessions 210 Euro per person per week
